Job Description
MasterCraft Safety, Inc - A premier Off-Road manufacturing company in Santee, CA has a unique opportunity for a motivated mechanical designer seeking an exciting challenge.

Experience:
  • Engineering design experience, preferably in off-road equipment
  • Finite Element Analysis
  • Reverse Engineering
  • FMVSS, SAE standards, ASTM, ASME, and Mil-Spec Standards
  • Fabrication/welding design within a general automotive or machine shop environment
  • Familiarity with Metallurgy and textile fabrication processes
  • Conduct engineering analysis and material selection required to size/design/layout components
  • Knowledge of Bill of Materials and Manufacturing
  • Drawing Release process, Drawing revisions and Engineering Change Notifications
  • Stress and structural analysis of mechanical components and structures including shock and vibration analyses
Position Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes, designs, and documents Off-Road automotive related products and changes to existing products.
  • Demonstrates strong 3D CAD skills (modeling, drawing creation, assembly management) with a minimum of 5 years direct SolidWorks experience. Able to administer PDM Works system and manage a SolidWorks engineering vault.
  • Demonstrates problem solving, and engineering calculation skills
  • Provides a sound support of the manufacturing environment and demonstrate a hands-on approach when required.
  • Must be able to handle a fast paced design and manufacturing environment. Be prepared to contribute and mentor on system and process design and implementation
  • Ability & willingness to communicate/interact in positive fashion with other departments & personnel, from the mfg floor to the CEO
  • Self-starter requiring minimum supervision/direction
