Vice President of Sales & Marketing

MasterCraft Safety, a leader in race and recreational safety seating, restraints, race suits and personal race safety products, located in Santee, CA, is seeking a candidate with exceptional leadership skills to command the Vice President of Sales and Marketing position. The position will report directly to the President/CEO and will require a minimum of a 4 year degree and 7+ years of experience in the automotive aftermarket at an executive sales level. The position is based in the San Diego, California area and a relocation allowance will be provided. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will include a benefits package and year-end bonus.

The V.P. of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for new business development and identifying key customers in targeted growth areas while expanding the brand reach into traditional two step, aftermarket distribution networks. In addition to setting up new customers within the traditional multi-step distribution networks, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing customer relations, supervising the sales and customer service staff, managing the Manufacturer's Rep agencies, attending customer events (including training seminars and presentations), industry trade shows, and assisting with the development of new markets and products based off customer input. Additional responsibilities will include the creation and ongoing development of annual strategic plans and related departmental budgets to ensure that profitability and growth requirements are achieved.

The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, capable of developing competitive goal-oriented and bench-marked strategies, and be able to clearly define and achieve sales focused objectives. The candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of accomplishments and a progression of responsibility within the automotive aftermarket industry. A significant amount of travel will be required (approximately 40%) and the candidate must possess exceptional presentation and writing skills.
