The Hot Seat MasterCraft Protruck
The spec racer is quite possibly a team’s ultimate trial by fire. Its premise is simple: a promoter, in this case the Protruck Racing Organization (PRO), develops a racing class and builds a durable and affordable racecar platform with which racers may compete at selected events. Since all cars match right from the factory and must remain so to compete in the series, the emphasis shifts from those who can buy a victory to those who can prepare and drive to victory.
While one could argue the validity of the premise, there’s little debate whether a racecar itself is a part’s ultimate crucible.
